Patricia Ann Lumpkin May 26, 1946 ~ March 7, 2010
Funeral services for Patricia Ann Lumpkin, 63, of Brenham, are set for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville with Pastor Rick King and Don Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Mrs. Lumpkin died at her home on Sunday in Brenham surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born May 26, 1946, in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Eddie and Madelaine VeRue Stock Stuart. She was baptized in the First Baptist Church in Somerville and attended school in Bayfield, Colorado. She went on to attend Junior College in Durango, Colorado. She was married to John Lumpkin on December 1, 1990 in Baytown, Texas and she worked as an administrative assistant and office manager for a litigation firm. She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Ollie and Ruby Knight, an aunt, Betty King, and a brother-in-law, Bill Gaines. Survivors include her husband, John Lumpkin of Brenham; her daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and James Hilder of Spring, Karen and Tim Moreman of Magnolia, and Kim Lumpkin of Spring; her son, John Keith Lumpkin of Spring; her sisters and brother-in-law, Debbie Gaines of Bulverde and Margaret and Greg Tivis of College Station; her special aunt and uncle, JoNell and James Knight of Georgetown; nieces, Kena Martin of Houston, Jami Martin of Temple, Treasure Oines of Bulverde; nephew, Jonathan Martin of College Station; grandchildren, Kristen and her husband Luis Orostieta of Caldwell, Kori and her husband James Free of Magnolia, Courtney Lumpkin of Spring, and Zachary Moreman of Magnolia; great-grandchildren, Boe Free of Spring, and Andres and Cameron Orostieta of Caldwell, along with numerous cousins and other relatives as well as loving friends and co-workers. Family members have requested that memorials be made to Hospice Brenham, 302 East Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Texas 77833-2406 in Patricia's name.
