They say as a child that the world always appears larger. At least that was the case in my mind when I looked up at you. I will forever have the memory of you being a "Mountain of a Man"; tall, dark and often scary to a small child. As time passed, and life chipped away at your rough edges you became aware of your limited time and never wanted me to leave. My only regret is that the time I got to spend with you was rushed by my own fast paced visits.
You will forever hold a place in my heart and I will always tell my children of you and your thunderous snores, and killer birds!
Rest in Peace Grandpaw.

Where to begin.........a man takes on a single mom with 3 little girls, he didnt have to....he did it for love for "all of his girls".
He was always there for each one of us, I cant even remember him, missing a days work and that paycheck always went to "Miss Anne" on Fridays to take care of his family.
He didnt have a lot of love in his life before he met my mother but I think he knows just how much he meant to all of us and I hope we made up for the love he missed early in his life.
He was the only father I ever knew and he was grandpa to my children.
He was no angel or saint but he was loved and will be missed as much as any husband and father could be.
He is at rest now, and he can breathe deep long breaths and I know he is smiling that smirky smile looking down at us.
I love you PAPA and I hope you are at peace.
Your daughter Sharon
